Teleradiology and Radiologist remote reads: Quality Counts! We negotiate for rapid, cost-effective, specialty-specific, remote-read MRI imaging interpretations and secure Supervising Radiologist Assistance for your MRI Imaging Center.
- Module #11

ISelecting the Teleradiologist and Radiologist who can act as the Supervising Radiologist and assist in the MRI Accreditation Process.

In creating the successful MRI Imaging Center, we manage the identification and selection of a Teleradiology and Radiologist remote reads group with radiologists explicitly certified in the scan interpretation of patient type(s) our clients will be scanning, such as MSK, Brain, Spine, etc.

We collaborate with our MRI Imaging Center clients, assisting them with consultations and negotiations to establish a written agreement with a leading teleradiology remote read firm. This agreement includes a mutually agreed-upon per-read fee, a specified report response time for the MRI Imaging Center, and a commitment to provide coverage by an IDTF or medical group supervising radiologist. These services are essential for meeting the MRI Imaging Center's accreditation needs and regulatory supervisory requirements.

We have assisted our clients in this process with great success. We can typically arrive at a per-read fee that is nationally very competitive and a genuinely best-case scenario. Creating a cost-effective, fast clinical interpretation turnaround and high-quality remote teleradiology agreement for your MRI Imaging Center is pivotal to your success. This high-quality Teleradiology Agreement is crucial in obtaining stellar clinical interpretations, results in high physician satisfaction, and is essential for patient and technologist customer service.

For each MRI Imaging Center, we carefully match the teleradiology radiology remote read provider group to the clinical needs, financial requirements, and customer service response needs of the ordering physicians and client group.

The teleradiology business is very competitive, and the ordering physician's need for the highest-quality, most accurate radiologist interpretation of the patient scan is paramount.

I was involved in creating a Breast and Mammography Imaging Center, and I became convinced that the remote-read radiologist should be double-board certified in radiology and breast radiology. That option was possible with cutting-edge teleradiology groups and contributed to a successful Imaging Center!

In the MRI Imaging centers that we consult for, we work to put remote read teleradiology agreements in place between consulting clients and teleradiology groups that can offer double board certified radiologists (Both certified radiologists and your specialty need, i.e., MSK  or Spine, or Neuro, etc.), for the same nationally competitive teleradiology read fee amounts. It is the state of the industry, and I believe it further assists in the highest quality teleradiology interpretations, whatever your specialty.

We have successfully negotiated competitive annual archive fees per study with our teleradiology groups for our clients and can also assist you in this area.

To pass accreditation with whichever of the several MRI accreditation bodies you choose, your Imaging entity will require a supervising radiologist. High-quality teleradiology groups can often provide the supervising radiologist coverage for our client groups and even assist with preparing the MRI Imaging Center technologist staff for all the steps necessary to submit studies and paperwork for MRI accreditation.

In addition, the on-site technologists we have been able to recruit for our clients have been of such high quality that their centers have completed full MRI Imaging Center accreditation (ACR) with scores of 100% and no conditions, which is as good as it gets! If you want your MRI Imaging Center to be fully accredited, without conditions, especially with ACR, you will want to contact our group for assistance.

Consistent with the information we have provided, we think you will be very impressed with what we can accomplish for your Imaging Center regarding developing a top-tier teleradiology agreement between the MRI imaging centers we consult and a leading teleradiology group with which we work.

We can develop the Optimal Teleradiology Agreement for rapid, cost-effective, specialty-specific remote read MRI Interpretation and secure Supervising Radiologist assistance for your MRI Imaging Center!
