Working with the Architect, MRI Manufacturer, Construction Company, and HVAC subcontractor to plan for and respond to several types of MRI Imaging Center supplemental cooling issues

In this Coaching and As Needed Consultation and Assistance Module that you can select for this Imaging Center Project area, we will discuss the following;
- How far along are you with this project at present?
- Will you be using an architect or a structural engineering firm?
- How this Consultation and Assistance Module might apply to your project.
- How the BTU load in the MRI equipment room can/will necessitate the placement of the supplemental CRAC cooling unit.
- Discuss how the primary cooling distribution cannot keep up with the extensive equipment crowded MRI equipment room BTU load.
- What MRI unit do you intend to install?
- What are the dimensions of your MRI Equipment Room?
- Are there other heat sources in the MRI Equipment Room, such as windows with sun?
- Provide a solid overview of this design and build issue and answer any questions you might have.
- Follow up on discussions, if any, that you might have had with your Architect or Builder regarding these supplemental cooling issues and the design and build process. Have you heard of these issues before this Consultation and Assistance Module?
- Preparing for the loss of power to your MRI Imaging Center, and how might you deal with this as it relates to the need for continuous cooling to the MRI Magnet when the power has been terminated and is unavailable?

Were you aware of the possibility of dealing with an MRI Helium loss in the event of power disruption?
- We have a great review of effective responses and best solutions and practices for temporarily cooling your MRI Magnet in case of power interruptions that can shut down your MRI Magnet.
- Answer any questions regarding supplemental cooling in case the MRI loses power.
- What do you know about the staffing and response times of the maintenance team for the MRI Magnet Supplier that you are considering? What are their standard dispatch time and response to MRI service calls in your area? This is very important to know and attempt to verify before you select an MRI Magnet as well.
