Pre-Planning for the Scheduling, Delivery, and Site Placement of your new MRI Magnet

The copper shielding will be tested to ensure the suite buildout does not allow external EMI interference of your MRI Images.
In this Module, we will discuss,
- Where are you in the process at present?
- Are you looking at a ground-floor, slab-on-grade, second-floor, or higher installation?

Are you considering installing an extremity MRI Magnet, a 1.5 Tesla or smaller magnet, or a 3.0 Tesla Magnet?
- This module section will provide a complete checklist of items to address in the pre-planning for the scheduling, delivery, and site placement of your MRI magnet in your MRI imaging center before our teleconference.
- Working with your building Contractor from early in the construction period to place, track, and continually update the necessary MRI milestones that you can expect on the OAC construction meeting agenda and subsequent monthly updates.

Avoid surprises by providing continual notifications to the various subcontractors with task requirements along the way.
- When and how to set a tentative MRI Delivery Date.
- Strong communications with your MRI vendor will ensure you have been and will be made aware of all the customer responsibilities in preparing the MRI magnet room for the magnet and equipment deliveries and responding to site readiness. Discuss the Vendor site readiness checklist.
- Working closely with your MRI Vendor Project Manager to ensure you are on the same page.
- Confirm site readiness checklist requirements with your Architect and builders.
- Receive contact information and information related to the retention and working with a key Heavy Lift Crane Company.
- Review of the Heavy Lift Crane company site visit and what they will want to see in terms of customer readiness for the MRI Magnet "Lift "Day," and how their fees are derived.
- Preparing for possible "Lift Day" challenges.
- Assessing your site regarding possible lift and boom swing challenges, retaining wall(s), outdoor and parking lighting, proximity to other buildings, trees, ditches, overhead wires, streams, water, uneven terrain, etc.
- Taking into consideration challenging seasonal weather events that affect your site.
