Consultation and Assistance - Module #13

Working with the Architect, MRI equipment supplier, Building Contractor or Remodeling Team, to fully plan in advance and implement, the crucial build out of the MRI Suite, Magnet Room, Technologist Control Room, and Equipment Room.

Post initial MRI Delivery-Connection of the MRI Magnet to the Cryogen Vent Pipe completed. Total Pressure Drop of the entire Cryogenic Vent System must be less than 17 PSI.

That preface content read is not provided here for purposes of site brevity, but it important to understand and be familiar with for client-consultant discussion. There is a great deal to learn and incorporate in this module and there are significant safety, expense, and project timeline sensitive issues the client needs to be keenly aware of. 

In this Coaching and As Needed Consultation and Assistance Module that you can select for this Imaging Center Project area, we will discuss;

  • Where are you as present in your MRI Imaging Center Project? Have you selected a site location?
  • Have you selected an MRI Magnet? Have you conducted Seismic and Vibration Testing on the site that you wish to use? Have you finalized your MRI site lease?
  • If you have selected an MRI supplier, do you have an understanding of what they supply and what you are responsible for supplying, specifically in the build out of the MRI Magnet Room? There is more to this then one might have imagined.
  • Is your MRI going to be new or refurbished?
  • Will your MRI be a 3T, 1.5T, or lower field or extremity MRI unit?
  • Are you planning on siting your MRI Magnet, ground floor slab on grade, or on an upper floor?
  • Have you selected an Architect, are they an Architect with MRI Site build out experience, or not? An architect who has designed an MRI project in a medical office building?
  • Have you selected a builder/remodeler, and do they have MRI Site build out experience, or not?
  • What are your thoughts, work to date, understanding of, the content we have provided in this section? (Please read and review the content provided in this same section in the FULL TURNKEY MRI PROJECT ASSISTANCE section)
  • Let us make sure we have addressed any and all of your questions.
  • What are your needs, impressions and response to what we have provided content wise regarding containment of the 5 Gauss Field line. There are a number of additional information items that I will look forward to providing to you from experience on this, in our consultation. There is much more to know about this topic, and a significant amount of information regarding the importance of containment of the 5G line has been provided elsewhere in this site, and we will discuss this important item fairly extensively in this coaching session.
  • There is a significant amount of additional information and detail on understanding the build out of the RF shield in the MRI magnet room. What to avoid, what to insist on with Contractors and Sub Contractors, how the RF Shield Works, etc. It is important to create an MRI Magnet room that can turn out an artifact free MRI Scan every time. Much of which will be discussed in this coaching session.
